Re: Tufa's tank!!!

I have the Marco curing in my 45 now. When the dust settles a bit I'll try to take a pic, but I did just kinda throw it in there, so the nicest sides aren't necessarily facing the front. I gave it a 2-day muriatic bath in a Brute which really helped loosen up the gunk. Now its in the curing tank and the skimmers is going nuts. As much as I love the rock there really is a boatload of dead organics in it.

Re: Tufa's tank!!!

Well, based on Mikes report that his Solaris is shipping, I gave them a call. Strangely, the person who answered the phone volunteered that they were all shipped defective and they are hand-replacing boards! Not what you wanna hear. Looks like mine will be at least another month to ship, hopefully NOT defective. At least the tank will still be in the curing phase.

Re: Tufa's tank!!!

Not saying that you did but you may have heard them wrong. When I called last week they told me pretty much the same thing, but the way they said it to me was that a shipment of LED's was sent to PFO defective, and that they were now hand replacing the LED's there at PFO before shipping the units out.

Re: Tufa's tank!!!

No, the lady specifically said the boards were defective, and they were being replaced by hand. She went on to say that all 180 boards needed to be fixed, and this took a lot of time.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy they even fixed them before shipping them out, but this isn't a good start. I gotta wonder why this women would even leak this kind of info to begin with.

Re: Tufa's tank!!!

I'm pretty sure thats what I just said. If not thats what I meant. Things, Boards/LED's boards of LED's were shipped to PFO defective and they were hand replacing all of them. Thats why shipping was thrown off by a month. It's not really that big of a leak to tell somebody the product is damaged and they are fixing it. That just shows me the type of CS they have. Where other companies would just ship the lights out they test them and fix any problems before shipping.

Now to get back on topic Thats an awesome looking tank you have there. I can't wait to see that thing up and running. I also went with starphire glass. My tanks alot smaller then that though. LOL.

Re: Tufa's tank!!!

Well, now that you say it X, I was taking "boards" to mean the electronics, and not the LEDs. Perhaps I took it wrong. Either way it is disturbing, as bad LED boards is what plagued the prior series.

I can't wait to see it up and running myself, lol. Tomorrow will be a huge day. The utility room that will be housing the sump, fuge and other equipment will be completed, and a hole drilled between the wall. The stand is also done and will be here tomorrow as well. So, with any luck, water will be filling on Saturday. Unfortunately, she will be dark for a while, lol.
