| Keeper of The List | Re: Tufa's tank!!! Can I ask why you decided on an RBTA for such a new tank? Everything I've read here and elsewhere has advised waiting 6mos to a year after stable tank parameters have been reached?

| Torch coral | Re: Tufa's tank!!! I am aware that is the "standard" advice as well Barb. I got one for several reasons. I was trying to appease a dying clown. I thought maybe it would help. Also, I have a large amount of LR and live sand in my tank and sump, and I believe my tank is stable enough to support one. Frankly, I've never really understood what people meant by an "established" tank. My tests are all good, I have great lighting, copious LR, stable pods, good cuc, and I don't intend on adding a lot of fish. Everything has been very stable. I figured 7 weeks was enough, and Mr. Coral agreed. So far, so good. Unfortunately the bugger did NOT stay where he originally crawled too. He looks great but is in a much less visible location. |

| Star Polyps | Re: Tufa's tank!!! Tank looks great. Sorry to hear about the loss of the Clown and the headaches with the Solaris. Not to rub it in but mine has worked great right out of the box. It's been running for about a month. I was able to adjust the Solar mood so now mine looks like this Sunrise start 12pm Sunrise stop 12:30 Sunset start 10pm Sunset stop 10:30 And the lunar lights are on the rest of the time. Theres also 15mins of cloud cover (5) times a day.

| Torch coral | Re: Tufa's tank!!! Yea, I run in solar mode too. I love it. None of my problems have affected functionality at all. I increased the sunrise/sunset times to an hour. My only question is the moonrise/moonset feature. By default it seems to set the lunar whites to zero. But setting lunar whites to "1" looks to me more like moonlight. So far I haven't seen the Solaris ever kick in the lunar whites at night in solar mode. |

| Watch this Ma! | Re: Tufa's tank!!! I wonder if it's because the lunar cycle is 28 days so in 14 days, it should be full moon?
