Re: MY 55g build

10% every couple of weeks, is that normal? when i had my 90g set up i did 15% changes every 3-4 days. maybe i was just over doing it, but being new my mentality was "better safe than sorry". maybe uping your waterchanges will help on the clarity, & throw some carbon in the sytem while you're at it

Mount it on the wall in the bath tub. You can sit your shampoo bottles on top of it. And if it leaks, who cares? Heck, you don't even need to do anything special with the waste drain line.

Re: MY 55g build

yeah well i live in an apartment so mounting the RO isn't really an option lol and i bought the ro system so i didn't have to buy ro for 1.25per gallon of non-salt from the lfs 10minutes away the next closest lfs is about 20-25minutes away and they charge .75 per gal of salt ro but i just can't justify spending so much money on my RO to turn around and buy more heh my ro system finally started working fast after a couple of months and the DI cartridge almost gone so im hoping that it doesn't slow down when i replace the DI cartridge

Re: MY 55g build

if you can hang pictures on the wall then you should be able to mount the r/o unit. maybe mount it to a piece of plywood, the hang that on the wall like a picture. the hanging in the shower idea would work, attaching rope to it & letting it hang from the shower head(not sure how heavy these unit are though)

Re: MY 55g build

so in my efforts to help remove particals i got a filtersock and of course the only size that i can find around here was huge so im going to be posting a DIY of a PVC piping setup to use to lock in a filter sock with quick clamp releases to be able to quickly change and clean the filter sock...this is just a nice teaser for you guys cuz this thing is going to be ugly gaudy and ultimatly very interesting but atleast hidden cuz it will be under the tank haha
