| Do I look as lost as I am ![]() | Re: Julie's (BigAl's Gal) 6g NanoCube My apology for NOT following up.. It's suggested you wait until the tank is stable... you need to remember this wasn't my first tank which says a LOT. 6 months is a good long time to wait for your first coral. What you really do is let the tank "tell" you when.. tank water tests will tell you what's next ![]()

It's ALL gotta go!! Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change. Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian) This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%. Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!! | Do I look as lost as I am ![]() | Re: Julie's (BigAl's Gal) 6g NanoCube Well I think Julie and I have come to a decision about this lil 6g Nano-Cube. I think we're going to break it down and consolidate the contents into our other 3 tanks and sell the 6g locally. We're thinking about the future and trying to simplify some things for when we build our new house. It's time to replace the bulbs and stuff so we've decided to break it down. There's nothing wrong with it but it's not as "Easy" as the bigger tanks and it's just now as "Wow" now that the 90g is online and thriving. Thanks for reading our thread ![]()

| Do I look as lost as I am ![]() | Re: Julie's (BigAl's Gal) 6g NanoCube Well this tank is officially "No More". We've decided to take it down and place all the inhabitants into some of our other tanks. It's location in the house was less than perfect and the tank just wasn't getting the attention or maintenance it deserves. It is done!!
