| Tridacna maxima | Re: Ricks' Oceanic 14G Biocube - my first salt water tank very nice, great job!!! and nice pics too ![]() keep in mind your anchor hammer coral has sweepers that can extend up to 6" (though normally they only extend a 1" or 2) they pack a strong sting and can/will kill/damage close by corals. seems higher/stronger water currents cause them to extend more.

| Neon dottyback | Re: Ricks' Oceanic 14G Biocube - my first salt water tank yeah, I read about that...I chose the hammer because allegedly the sweeper tentacles are shorter than those of frogspawn and torch coral, but I wanted something billowy and fun at the top of my little reef :-) Hopefully they wont kill future neighbors Been keeping an eye out for them and to date have not seen anything yet. Thanks for the advice and for the props ! Keep an eye out for the open brain coral...arriving soon as well.

| Tridacna maxima | Re: Ricks' Oceanic 14G Biocube - my first salt water tank yeah anchors are not as aggressive as some of there cousins. as long as you are aware and space others no worries. the brain will be nice in there, what color are you getting?
