| Scopas Tang | Re: Ricks' Oceanic 14G Biocube - my first salt water tank I guess I shouldnt say lost. its still alive, has bleached out pretty bad, but is alive and recently has moved and re-attached to a diffent rock with less light. Not sure if it will survive or not but its not out just yet. Seems to be making an effort.

| Sunshine Reefer | Re: Ricks' Oceanic 14G Biocube - my first salt water tank Sounds like everything is going great. Haven't read this thread in a long time. A couple of comments though. I too had a scarlet hermit that brutally killed one of my snails. It was very sad to see. Keep an eye on that maroon. They get very large and very nasty. Just something to keep in mind. For whatever reason my yumas seem to be thriving under high light. I have them high in the tank under 150w mh. They haven't split or anything but their colors are beautiful and they open great. Just my experiences. You tank looks awesome and looks much bigger than it is. Great job.

| Scopas Tang | Re: Ricks' Oceanic 14G Biocube - my first salt water tank Hi Lynn, Tori, Thanks for the feedback and the props :-) I have heard the concerns about the maroons. So far he has been great, no issues, and I plan to move him to a new bigger tank towards the end of the year - think he will be ok in there for now. Not aggressive towards the fire fish at all. Update on the yuma - I guess I shouldnt call it lost, it bleached out almost completely white, excpet for the ends and the mouth, then it moved itself to a darker area of the tank and just in the last few days is starting to purple up in the middle again. I'm not touching it or moving it anymore. Its definitley alive and managing it's own health. It's foot has reattached to a new rock - only time will tell huh? Everything else is doing phenomenally well - having a ZOA explosion that I am REALLY enjoying. My ricordea are starting to look like they want to split as well !!

| Scopas Tang | Re: Ricks' Oceanic 14G Biocube - my first salt water tank Well here is an update shot of the yuma - like I said, its white white white - but seems to be turning around. It had looked smaller and worse a week ago. Also used to be attached to the long branch next to it. ![]() I'll get some more shots of the new zoa growth and shrooms tonight - this is what I have handy though. The neon greens have turned from 2 crazy glued polyps to 7 in the last week. The 2 were sole survivors of a cold shipment and Im surprised they are growing so quickly!! you can also see some new polyps on the fire and ice and orange bam bams. Not the best photo - Ill post some more tomorrow that are in better focus etc. ![]()
