My slow 135g build

I know the feeling. The difference between husbands and wives, when they ask us to do something we don't want to do we do it but don't want to talk anymore. If we ask them to do something they dont want to do we hear about it the whole time their doing it and a week after(H*ll sometimes they dont do it and we still have to hear about it. Disclaimer this does not include all women or men but those that fit the description.

I did all mine through Microsoft paint, i doesnt give the 3d effect, but i gives a better description than hand drawn(atleast for me)

Well, after doing some debating i think i may by new bulbs for the 48" PC i have & use it(atleast for a while). Since the light will be for looks(maybe some low light corals), the PC should do the job for now.

I have to do some reading on lighting, not to mention saving. I'm leaning towards a nice 72" T5 fixture, since i'm aiming towards a low light demanding reef set up

Don't under estimate the power of T5. You can keep most anything under them, depending on the # of bulbs. They are compairable to MH, but cheaper and cooler to run. Next on my list of purchases is a 72" T-5 setup.... to replace my MH....

I'm really curious how the price point comparison comes out when comparing, say a 6 bulb T5 unit, to a LED unit.

Electric used...
Bulb replacement costs...
Startup equipment costs...
etc...

See how long down the road it would take before the T5 solution caught up to the startup expense of a LED unit. If it ever does, that is...

Pumps & ro/di will be ordered today, the DT will finally be put into the wall today as well & hopefully i will be getting everything to run the electrical today.

The external pump will shut off at night, to similate how the waters around reefs do. i'm just starting to read up on this so dont beat me up to bad.
