Re: My slow 135g build

I'm doing fine JoJo, just real busy with custom stuff. We do a lot of filter/skimmer sales through the winter months and now that summer is coming all the LFS's look to see what they can do to spruce up their stores, so the fitler biz slows down and the custom stuff goes through the roof. I finally got our web site updated with all of our new products and new projects we've been doing and now it crashed saying we've exceeded our bandwidth. Can't win for losing, got the web hoster working on it. I just put some killer stuff on there too.

I haven't messed with the 90 gal. pentagon yet, can't find a place in the office for it. I still do not know what I'm going to build for my wives anemone, so for now the Shaggy is staying in the R&D tank. Other than gas prices, everything is peachy.

Re: My slow 135g build

i know what you mean about sells. i got to the LFS once a week to buy dog food, ect. & everytime i hear, " that tank aint ready for...." fill in the blank, rock, water, sand, anything to make a buck.

sorry to hear about your site crashing. i cant wait to see that 90g wet, the way things are going you'll probably have it set before mine is.

Re: My slow 135g build

Looks good Jojo, I rounded the corners of the acrylic for my sump and it fits really good now. Yours looks much more sophisticated than mine. Think I will take mine apart and do it your way.

Re: My slow 135g build

JoJo, the site is back up!

I doubt I will get the 90 wet before you do, it is sitting in the warehouse with a lot of dust on it right now. I'm getting more antsy though, all I have to play with is the R&D tanks and they are very minimalistic because we don't want sensitive animals in there when we are testing new skimmers and sumps and what not. I want to get this 90 set up as a reef so I can have some serious beauty around this place. Not to mention a home for Shaggy.

Re: My slow 135g build

yours has shapely compartments with overflows on top. Mine is just plain clear glass with square compartments and straight walls. Yours just looks nice.

Yup, you'll run into that again when it comes time to stock, in regards to compatibility of livestock and coral.

Great work, nice craftsmanship! It's coming right along and looks good.

Re: My slow 135g build

thanks Nina, its an idea me & Brian (Cracker) came up with. not sure if it'll make a considereable difference in surface skimming but its worth a try. it wasnt hard, especially that I DID IT!

Hey Kim, how've you been? i dont think it'll happen too much more, i'm starting to know more about SW than they do so they're not liking me too much anymore, especially that i told them i can get things cheaper online.

that reminds me, i have to order the RO unit & sand today. Wheres Jack?

You're right Cracker. That really DID come out great!!!

Awesome work, JoJo!

I'm betting that you won't have ANY scum riding on the top of the water with all that skimming area available.
