Re: Lorraine's 125 (et. al) - The 2nd Year

Hello Heinz!

All is stable now, but I lost a monti, a small purple acro, and some digitata frags. I have more of all of these. I was able to save my other pieces.

Don't know what was wrong. I think warfare started by the fuzzy mushroom. Usually though it just kills what it touches, this kept spreading. Could have been low alk/calc.

My new RBTA has been sad for several days now. I keep hoping it wll bounce back, but nothing yet. It is still attached to the same spot it was originally at. So maybe.

My BSJF has started flashing white for some reason. Changes too quick to get a pic though. The second he sees that I am watching he stops!

Could the flashing be mating behaviour? I've read somewhere that is what they do.

Re: Lorraine's 125 (et. al) - The 2nd Year

Hey there Lorraine,

Just caught this thread and jumped to the end. I'll go thru it tommrow and read everything. I was wondering how you get that little jawfish to burrow like that. We have one in our tank and I would love to create a haven like that that he would go to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can't keep bluespots from burrowing. They do it all day every day. Destroying and building. Destroying and building. Mine is completely re-done every week or so.
How about some new pics Liorraine? It's been a while.

Hey I'm post 200. How cool.

Re: Lorraine's 125 (et. al) - The 2nd Year

Just stopping by Lorraine, any news about the frag problem ?

btw ... I dont think it was a Ca/Alk problem. They do not grow further, however, do not die of it (in any case, not in so short time).

Re: Lorraine's 125 (et. al) - The 2nd Year

That is good to know Heinz. The only other frag affected was another digitata that I know for sure touched my other acro. I'm glad the other acro won that battle. The damage looks like it has stopped.

This is the Misses under the brain with my digitata for decoration...

This is the Misses with her New Build after I moved the brain and gave her some rubble...

This is BJ wanting to know what the heck is going on...

BJ is certainly more active building his hole than he was without Misses there. Misses keeps diggin deeper and deeper. This morning BJ's entire place was covered by the plate coral. I could see that he was trying to get out but gave up. I think this is what happened the other day when his hole disappeared.

I just did a major water change and moved the plate coral while I was at it.
