Althea's 90 Gallon.....

And it begins....

lol.. it needs a really good cleaning but it will look great when im done!!!
This came with all kinds of stuff...

The skimmer is a Kent Marine Nautilus TE Protein Skimmer

the pump is a i have no idea.. no name on it... :P

it came with a UV sterilizer.. a Rainbow Lifeguard QL-Series U. V. Sterilizers 25 watts

power heads included, havnt looked yet as to what they are...

lighting...not what i need.. a 48" flourescent twin tube aquarium reflector. 120 volts 67 watts 60hz(these will be replaced)

the sump is a bio ball holder! o yeah.. lol... those balls will be chucked... just need to know if i put LR rubble in where the balls are and can i put cheato there as well? the sump looks like this, not exactly this.... but this is the same thing... same idea.. same look.. just not glass and not as long on the right...

so far... its really dirty.. dude said he cleaned it.. he did not, as far as i can tell...o well, i have no prob doing it... so.. this is my beginning!!! i will be getting (a new sump maybe) new lighting, and painting the back... those are the "in the near future" item...i want an aquacontroller.. so thats another purchase i will be getting... other than that.. all i have to do now is clean it up and paint(flip that!) so stay tuned!

That stand has a brace right in the middle in both the front and the back. This severly limits what you can put under there. I'd highly recommend thinking of a way to get rid of those boards if at all possible.

Re: Althea's 90 Gallon.....

well i got the inside cleaned out, well scraped out and stuff, then i painted it. when that is dry i will clean the rest of it with a vinegar/water mix. i went with a dark blue its called lost in space.. LOL.. whatever.. its a cool blue though. so i sit here waiting for it to dry!

the bottom(which is the top in this pic... still needs to be scraped of the dry sand in there... but it really looks nice.. much better already!

Is the bio-ball chamber directly connected to the drain from the tank ? If so it would probably be too much flow if not then it should be fine. I don't remember is the Nautilus an in-sump skimmer or hang-on ? If it's a hang on then I would place the rubble and Chaeto in the middle chamber.

BTW congrats on the new tank !
