Re: Althea's 90 Gallon.....

What does your calcium test at? High levels of calcium can cause a "snow storm" and it actually looks like a bunch of white particules floating around in the water.

Re: Althea's 90 Gallon.....

What is your PH? The calcium is a bit high and if the PH is a little low, that could be causing a snow (calcium) storm.

Re: Althea's 90 Gallon.....

ok, i transfered over my rics and my frag of button polyps to the 90... it seems that maybe the water is a tad too warm maybe.. a couple detached from the rock i had them on and moved to the back of the tank under a rock and stayed there... so it was either too much light which is wierd(because they have been under these lights for months....(my bulb could be going too) so ill replace that in the nano also... but anyways.. i took them out and put them in a shady spot in the 90 and we will see how they do there. thats my little update of the day...i am having a ittle trouble with the ACjr. thoguh. ill have to sit down and figure it out one of these dys.. :P should have the RO unit here this afternoon! woohoo!!! ttyal!

WOW
Just caught up. The vacation pics are awesome. Looks like you had a great family vacation.
Tank looks great as well. Very pretty coral.
I know what you mean about the water. My LFS was very unhappy when I got my system up and running. I almost always buy something. Got a pretty yuma today when I went to talk about a stand.
Glad things are going so well.

Re: Althea's 90 Gallon.....

Actually I have gone a bit Yuma crazy lately. I think I am up to 8 now and I haven't taken pics of any of them. Have a new clam as well. I need to get to work.
