Wow Terry, you have been busy i see! Great work so far.
I wanted to comment on the Lumenarc reflectors. They are awesome. On that note the Lumen Bright reflectors put out 16% more reflective light. You might want to check them out before purchasing. I have been very happy with them.

Heinz, I read that this grouper reaches about 12" max in an aquarium. I hope they're right! It's going to be about 6 months before I can get a bigger tank for these guys.

Here is a chart I slapped together in Excel showing the temperature data I collected over the last 12 hours. I'm quite pleased with the stability.

Frankie, I just checked on that reflector kit. Very impressive! And the kit gives me a choice of 10k and 12k reefflux bulbs and comes with a coralvue ballast. I think everyone would have a hard time coming up with something bad to say about that setup.

Ok, I think I've changed my mind on the lights.

On a 24" wide tank, would you go with the 16" or 20"? I'm leaning towards the 16" to help keep the light more concentrated and it will easily cover the full 24" not far from the surface. What does everyone think?

Yepp ... as I already wrote Terry, 12" = 30,5cm

That is a good size for your planned tank.... and wonderful choice, I likes this grouper.

My controller inserts the readings into a SQL Server database. I just linked an Excel spreadsheet to that table and produced the chart. I'm working on the code to do it internally in the controller program now.
