The snowflake was only about 6" when we brought him home. He was in a rock and the LFS couldn't get him out of it so they gave me the rock. Also in the rock was the ghost eel. The LFS hadn't seen him (ghost) for a few weeks so they assumed he was dead. He is alive and well in this tank too.

Yeah, I sent Sonny an email.

He really looked like he was doing well yesterday too. Hanging out in a cave under a rock but didn't appear to be having any issues.

Gold fish bad for their livers, fat build up. Silversides are perfect as is the 260 for the Miniatus!

Does anyone know where I can buy LIVE silversides? I never thought of looking for live ones until just now.

Ok, while looking for those, I found these. I wonder if they can be placed in the fuge (I have a 100g fuge with a HUGE ball of Chaeto, 150 lbs LR, and 150 lbs of LS) and I wonder if they would reproduce?

And for the silversides, I found this place:
Menidia beryllina, Inland Silverside

They really aren't much more expensive then feeder goldfish from PetCo...

The Mysid will probably get pumped from your fuge to the display. The silversides are the real deal and should fair well in your fuge.

How do minnows from a fish bait store stack up nutritionally against silversides?

It's my understanding that fresh water fish have fats that store in the liver of saltwater predators. I would assume minnows would have the same affect as gold fish.

I would not hesitate to use some freshwater daino's just to get his eating mod going. Then turn him onto frozen. If he doesn't eat that is. Once that fish starts eating your goingto have trouble getting it not to eat!
