Re: Althea2you's 29g Nano adventure!

Its hard to tell by the pics. Just dont give up. GSPs are very tough corals. The branch rock has the Dark green ones on it. The mat should be purple. THe other frag should be a light grey color. I hope they pull through.

Re: Althea2you's 29g Nano adventure!

They are both GSPs. One has longer lighter longer Polyps and the other has shorter dark green polyps. I think when put togather they will make a cool combo.

Re: Althea2you's 29g Nano adventure!

ok, just thought i would update on a few things...

Got some mushrooms from liveaquaria. 3 ricordias and 4 blue and 1 green mushroom.i have pics, will post at the end... my rose millipora is doing good as well as the purple tipped monti. was curious about those, but i am definitely liking sps a lot lately!!! lol im thinking of asking for a 75 gallon tank (not sure on size yet) for Christmas! "oh Santa!!!! maybe make that just sps and my nano all softies and LPS. we shall see!!! anyways, im starting to see some polyps on the GSP from Michael, so i think there is some hope for it.

my paremeters as of today...were all perfect... well.. as far as nitrites, nitrates, alk. goes.. my calcium seemed a bit high.. 500 and PH low 7.7 :P thats the lowest its been. i think the next WC i am mixing my own water, because im not sure what the PH was or any elements for that matter in the water i used, so... my own it will be.

pictures....

the last 2 pics are of our juvinal emp. in our 90 gallon at our office

thats it for now...

Just stopping by ! Complement...... nice start and a beautiful nano reef. Only the Pomacanthus imperator will have become very fast too large for your nano. Attained full growth Pomacanthus imperator reach 15 inch.

Re: Althea2you's 29g Nano adventure!

ok, update... my levels seems to be doing better... i have a wc scheduled for next week...trying to do them every three weeks instead of once a month... if things still arent looking the way i want them too, i will up it to once every 2 weeks.... but water params are good... not great... i need my calcium to stabalize.. (just need some consistancy) and same goes for the PH... other than that everything else looks good. 0-5 nitrates every time.... and alk is a 12 trites and ammonia are 0's calcium is good, just need it to be like that consistantly.. ph seems to drop on me.. i think my test is off.. becasue when i do it, i think its low.. when i bring it to an LFS they say its at about 8.2 8.3... so it may be more consistant than i thought... ill get a new test... lol.... also i have nudibranches...it was all over my monti, well 3 of them. so far... any help in that direcxtion would be nice. oh and Michaels GSP is looking GREAT!!!!! really starting to grow and bloom and get long!! they ar still little babies! but i think they are pretty!!!! ok.. here are some pictures!!! take care!

micheals GSP...close up

here is one of my clowns hiding in the button polyps

this is the right side of my tank i just re-scaped it after the Hammer died.. it got brown jelly disease... my red shrimp LOVES the new scaping... hangs out in there alllll day!

and here is an updated FTS

ok, tanke care everyone!
