Re: My 110 gal Adventure

This last saturday I installed my Phosban Reactor. I had to notch my stand a little bit for easier install/removal of the reactor, but other than that a fairly easy process. Here are a couple pics of the finished install.

Re: My 110 gal Adventure

Another thing to add after adding the Yellow Wrasse a few days ago. The Wrasse was MIA for 3 days after transfering from QT to DT and I finally found the cleanup crew doing their thing to the remains of the little guy. I'm kinda baffled as to what happened to him as he was in my QT for 3 weeks and seemed to be doing fine. I'm just guessing it was stress related as all my water parameters checked out OK.

Seems to be good so far, I'm just hoping to stop the small amount of Hair algae I've got going from becoming a problem.

Re: My 110 gal Adventure

After procrastinating for a month or so, I finally got one of the fish that once I saw I fell in love with. Its a Mystery Wrasse and the colors/pattern on these fish is absolutely gorgeous. I purchased it on Wednesday and it finally started eating yesterday. Here's the only good pic I've got of him drip acclimating to the QT.

Re: My 110 gal Adventure

Wow Matt! That fish does not look real! I can't wait to see it in the QT when you get a pic.

How's that chaeto doing? I've found that mine grows a little faster if I keep it slowly moving around in the fuge.

The Chaeto is growing like weeds, I trimmed it last night actually & I've had to cut it back a couple of times already. I'll try to remember to get a pic of the new Wrasse in the QT tonight.

Re: My 110 gal Adventure

Beautiful and graceful wrasse! They have this odd behavior of standing vertically upright in the water column, mine does it all the time. They are very docile as long as everyone leaves them alone. They don't start trouble, but if someone picks on them they will pick back. All the best!

OK, I thought about asking you if what it was doing was normal but I paniced a little. That was one of the things it was doing, it was also kinda swimming around wierd too. I did water tests and everything showed OK but I was kinda scared about losing him so I acclimated and transfered to the DT, knowing that water parameters were definitely better in there. Now after being in there after a day it seems to be fitting in fine. I've got some new pics I took last night that I'll have up later.
