I've seen the lobsters around once in a while. What do they eat? Any danger to fish/coral/inverts when they get bigger?

he's pretty. like the purple.

Well with the bad weather that we had this weekend the power was off for close to 7 hours Sat night. The temp in the DT went down about 3 or 4 degrees but the QT tank with the fish in it went down about 6 degrees. Luckily everthing seems to be doing ok.

I guess its time for an update now that there is something to add. I finished with the 8 weeks of no fish in the DT and treatment for Ich in the QT. On Saturday I did a water change in both tanks and then added the fish back into the DT. I also picked up a purple firefish after all the maintence was done and added him to the QT. I took a couple of pics of the new guy, but forgot to bring my camera with me today, so pics tomorrow.

Thanks, Believe me it wasn't easy not being able to buy anything for 2 months, but for the long run it will be better for my fishes health so it was worth it.

Well I finally bit the bullet and ordered a large CPR Aquafuge Refugium yesterday so hopefully it will be here in the next few days so I can get that set up this weekend.

Well I got my refugium in on Saturday morning. First off it came packaged excellently, double boxed with foam and air bags. After I got it all opened up and started to install it on the tank I found that I was going to have to do a little more modding than I had originally thought. I ended up making a new piece for my top from some leftover plexiglass due to the return pipe extending out into the tank farther than expected. The inlet pipe was closer to the edge of the tank and I was able to get away with just cutting a notch in the back of the top which is made out of a flexible plastic on the back 2 inches. After I got that all done, I realized that in order to put the light on top of the refugium with the included legs that I would have to cut out a section of my hood also. Hers's a few pics.

A hang-on like that is something I have been thinking of adding to my system.

Yeah its something I've been wanting for awhile. I plan on adding a mandarian in the future so I figured the sooner the better. Now I just gotta get some time to run to the LFS to get some more sand and Chaeto and I'll be all set.
