deli shrimp I never cycle tanks with them 2 weeks carbs & snails 4-6 weeks fish all is good

I would recommend about 10 Nassaurius snails, and half a dozen Astreas to start. I prefer the Skunk Cleaners as oramental shrimp, a pair woould be fine in a 55 gallon. This all of course if you have zero nitrites which are toxic to invertabrates. If you want hermit crabs, Red Scarlet hermits with the yellow eye stalks only!

red scarlets are like, docile in hermit crab terms. blue legs etc are very capable of chowin down on a snail or somethin.

also id be very careful with Nassaurius snails. they can be as aggressive and kill and eat other snails, hermits, etc.

also, you realy gotta be sure your getting the right species. there are two, one ok one vey bad.

Ok some good info in there, thanks Dentoid and Bob. So I just bought 5 Nassarius snails this last weekend and I know now that at least one of them is one of those other ones, so should I take it and any others like it out?

I don't think my LFS has those kind of snails. I know they have turbo snails and one other type of snail. Can't think of the name of that snail.

I'm babysitting right now so I don't have access to my pics on my computer but if you'll look at my pics on here can someone tell me what type of snail I have? LOL gosh that's horrible I should know what type they are. But I'm bad with names.

Thanks for the link Bob (and Dentoid)! I just acquired a gang of snails a couple weeks ago that match the ID for the bad guys (Ilyanassa). They're are being evicted today and are going to be featured in the mantis tank at school! (He's a spearer, he doesn't seem to be interested in eating snails).

Big Turbos can be bull dozers so that is why I like Atreas. A little less likely to rearrange rock work.
