Clint's new tank...

thanks to a board member (Octoman) pointing this forum out,figured I would start my own thread of my new 55 gallon tank..

It has been running for 5-6 weeks now,Pretty sure it has gone through its cycle
all numbers are good in water test's (although nitrate is still at about 10-20 ppm)
I have roughly 95-98 pounds of live rock in it with an aragonite bottom
coral life super skimmer,eheim canister filter(foam inserts and carbon pad only)
2 maxi jet power heads (600 and a 900) 2 hydor korallia pumps #1 and #2
tanks seems to have good flow ,I have them pointed at the top and bottom of tank,with the return of the eheim canister filter flowing from the top middle of tank..
48 " odyssea light with actinic,daylight(12000k) and led on a timer..
recently just got rid of six damsel fish from tank that I had put in there without hearing the horror stories about those cute little guys..
(fish store dude failed to mention that they would be a problem in future)

tanks inhabitants as of 10-06 2007

1 banded shrimp
2 camel shrimp
10 hermit crabs
1 porcelain crab
2 brittle stars
1 banded brittle star
22 snails -astrea and trochus
1 feather duster..
and a few hitchhikers I have been unable to identify as of yet !

just wanted to post a better pic of my cool looking porcelain crab(thanks to a board member for letting me know of the name of him) keeping guard on the mushroom coral (that was a hitchhiker) on one of the last piece's of live rock that was added to my tank...still think of adding a few more small piece's to put me over the 100 pound mark..like little small boulder's to spread over the bottom

Well I have changed my aquascaping alittle with some suggestions from other members here ,and plan on getting a couple of clowns within the next week or 2

will post some new pics later of the tank,have also noticed a few other hitchikers over the past couple of days on my live rock..lots of feather dusters now popping up

Lighting = 6x250 watts MH, 2x96 watt PC ,and 2x140 watt VHO for a total watt of 1,972 watts . New addition on 4-14-07 of 100 gallon sump and 100 gallon refugium. I think I have lost my mind.
