I want the tank to be set up for about 6 months will good stable water parameters for at least 4 months before I add any SPS to it. I want this tank to be done perfect.-Michael

I have been saving up for a long time, and I have put alot of thought into this one.

I looked at alot of fish this evening. I have made my mind up on several things. I definately will be adding an achilles tang, and a copper band butterfly. I know that I want several of the fairy wrasses I am just having a hard time deciding which ones. Any ideas on which ones go good togather. I the more rare ones.-Michael

Depending on when your tank is actually being built you might have to let the silicone cure for awhile after you recieve it. You will get a paper with directions & there will be a build date written on the side of the tank. Mine has been sitting for 6 months...think its cured?

Ahh..cool! Congrats on the tank. Im real happy with mine with the exception I dont have water in it yet! Funny... when I bought my tank it was a 225Gal. & now its a 240wide on their site. still think its a 225.

Are you sure about this? Mine came with the directions mentioned and it was 3 weeks AFTER the arrival before it was cured. That's not a problem since it's still dry but unless they already have it build you may have to wait a week or two.

Oh good deal. Either way it will have a huge build date with instructions taped to the inside of the tank(s).

YAY, my filter will be here the beginning of the week. Plus my funds are building. You know what this means....I can find something else I "need".
I talked with Chris at reefer madness last night. I told him what I wanted to do, he recomended Kaelini, Show size Select Fiji, and Hawaian Cultured. He said that this will give a natural look, with many overhangs and caves. I am so excited.

I just spoke with Glasscages. They were mistaken when they previously told me that it was already made. They are making it, and I will have to wait 4 WEEKS from the manufacturing date to add water. Does anyone know why it takes so long to cure. When I made my tank it only had to sit dry fot 48 hours. Aw Well, thats ok.

I think it has to do with the type of sylicone they use it release fuses for awhile

I hate when I release my "fuses" for a while... LOL

Yeah the silicone also has to cure FULLY in order to hold water on such a large area. It's probably more of a precaution than anything else.
