Re: 240

Well I am so sorry that I have been MIA lately.
My Dad was in the Hospital for over a week. He almost did not make it. But now he is back to normal. It was really wierd, he went from dying to working in a few days. Then Megan's Grandfather Passed away. THEN last friday I took a spill on the motocross track. I usually ride bikes but I jumped on our Raptor 700. I hit a jump (that my brother added a lip to) And I wrecked. I had a 400 pound four wheeler land on my knee from six feet up. It dislocated my knee. And my orthopedic doctor said I may have torn my ACL.
But this week I am back on track with the tanks. I added the first two fish to the 240. I moved my pair of PJ Cardinals out of the 100 gallon into thier new home. Water parameters have been stable for over a month. I plan on adding the sand in a week or so. I am taking this tank very slowly. I want it to be as close to perfect as possible. The cardinals dont know how to act in such a huge place. I think I have the rocks put where I want them for now. The rock column looks awesome!!! I will try to get some pictures soon.
There are THOUSANDS of pods in the 240. I guess since it has been running for a few months it has had plenty of time to mature. Coraline growth in good even though I have not been running lights every day.

Hope your knee is OK. I tore my left ACL and meniscus on 1/13/08 and I'm just about good as new after surgery on 1/21/08! Hang in there!

Re: 240

If your ACL is torn whatever you do don't slack on the rehab. I tore my ACL, MCL, some cartlidge and cracked my kneecap in half about 8 years ago. It's still not the same as it was.

Wow am I glad to see you back. So glad your dad is okay, and please tell Megan I'm so sorry about her grandpa.

I hope your knee is okay! I'm sure you'll be telling us more about it.

Sounds like the tank is coming along very nicely!

Michael! You have really been put through the wringer! I was down in the Charlotte area about 2 weeks ago and went to the
Rockingham Dragway to see the top fuel cars race. I wanted to call you ,but wasn't sure what was going on. I'm happy to hear that your father is feeling better and my heartfelt condolence to Megan. Welcome back my friend!

Re: 240

Well. I just tested my water. I have not done a water change since it has been set up. Here are my findings:
Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate- 35
PH-8.3

The rock I added was VERY alive so I guess it counterbalanced the Marco Rock's Decay.
I am going to do a 50% water change this weekend and I am ordering sand tonite. I plan on adding Jose in around two to three weeks. I want to add him and his new friend at the same time. So I hope LA has onne in a month or sao. I think they will, as they have had several in the DD in the last month. PLus they had them on the regular fish list.

Hello "wave" and Welcome to the Reef

Oh it's ~Michael! I didn't recognize the name at first

Hey buddy and good to see you back.

Man it has been a wild ride for you lately (pun intended). Hope Megan's ok with her recent loss. Give her an EXTRA big hug from all of your friends at RS!

Glad to hear Dad is on the "mend".

Now back to the tank(s). Sounds like yours is going well. Can't wait to see the pics (is it the weekend yet? )

How's Megan's tank doing? We're gonna want pics of EVERYTHING you know!!

Again good to see you back buddy.
