I don't know for sure but I wouldn't think it should be THAT loud!

I do know that my MAG18 if VERY quiet indeed. Hope you get it resolved buddy!!

Micahel it sounds like a defective pump I would call the manufature & let them know it is possible that the fins are out of balance

Something is definatley wrong. WHat other pumps are know for bieg extremely quiet. Id like to be able to relax in the fish room. Now it is like Im sitting in a construction zone!!!

I used Krylon. I think that it is made by rustoleum. It worked great, and was very easy to use. I love the look of the black background.
