PHEEEEW, took me over an hour to get through this entire post.
First, let me say THANK YOU very much for this post. Without it I would have ordered a Glass Cages myself, and I too am now strongly considering Jack.

With that said, what kind of bracing does your new tank use? Does it have a lip like a euro or a strip down the middle?

Besides that horrendous ding on the GlassCages, how do the two compare otherwise?

Thanks everyone. I am hoping to finish the stand tonite. I am going to put another coat of stain on it. And Break out the poly. I am going to use a very low gloss or mat-finish poly.
rmlevasser-The glass cages tank cannot be compared to the tank from jack. It would be like comparing a geo-metro with a porsche Turbo. As far as bracing goes, I have never seen bracing like this before. It does not have the big glass lip all the way around it. It has a wide brace in the center. This evening I will get a picture of the top bracing. DONT GET THE GLASSCAGES tank. The seams are sloppy, there was silicone everywhere, and I was just flat out disapointed, even before I saw the Chip.

Again thanks for all the nice words everyone. I am so glad I can get started. I should have the tunze pumps nextweek, along with the bulkheads I need.

Well, unfortunatley I have had way too much time to think about this tank. I CANNOT DECIDE OF THE FISH. The only definites are two BSJF, two Percs, Mandarins, and two spotted cardinals.

thats what I'm putting in mine... a pair of crosshatch triggers.
along with a pair of picasso clowns, a peppermint angel and a trio of gem tangs.

I really like them. But I am just scared of the bio-load they will carry.
I am torn between quite a few small fish, or the guys a very few other fish.

Thats too bad. I would love to see a tank with that combo.
But really what are you thinking about putting in that bad boy.
I guess I need to really put some consieration into this.
