Didn't they say Friday just a few days ago? Sounds like a bit of the run-around to me... Make sure you keep track of all your conversations and you may want to go ahead and send them written correspondence of your complaint about the tank.

Geo or Precision Marine are pretty popular.

Re: 240

I have been looking at the PM reactors.
Me and Megan were looking at my tank last nightand had a great idea. On the left side of my stand there is a 18X25 door. I think this is where I will build my viewable refugium. I can put trim around the door and put my refugium there. I can make the fuge 19x26 and have it 6 inches wide. This wil be the most space conservative refugium possible. Jeff @ lifereef said that he could build it for me. Then I could have a very nice viewable fuge that is built in. Megan said that then she could have a pair of seahorses. I told her we would have to think about that. The sides and the back of the fuge will be black so not to let any light into the cabinet. I think that this will be a very nice way to have a viewable fuge. Let me know what you think.

What all do you need to get a kalk reactor up and running?

Re: 240

The only thing I worry about with the Ponies is that most of them need cooler waters. I wont have MH on this tank, and it will be very ventilated. I want to keep my temps in the upper 70s. Would a pony do ok with the water temp around 78?

Re: 240

I haven't kept them, but Lynn has extensive experience, so a PM to her might be a good thing.

Re: 240

I think that It would be really cool to have a few dwarf seahorses in my fuge. If you have enough pods, and live stuff, for the to eat, souldnt they do just fine?

Re: 240

I have done some research and most seahorses like lower temps. Upper 80s are pushing the limits.

ecotech has an Kalk reactor out also.
I like the idea of using magnetic stirrers for kalk reactors.

Re: 240

I am not going to have enought room under my cabinet for a resevoir. Do you have to have one to run a kalk reactor?
