I'm with Frank... I have been known far and wide to send "informative" emails and they aren't short notes either... I like to get My point across with lots of details and information. You need some backing let us know.

Well, I just had my first IRRITATING experience (other than picking up my tank) with GC. I called amd a very rude woman answered the phone. I expalined who I am and told her the problem. She said "Hold on". I was put on hold. Another equally rude woman answers the phone. Again I explain who I am and the problem. She then says " Well, you are going to have to wait until friday to find out anything". I said "excuse me". She responds " my boss is out of town, and I cant do anything about it until you talk with her."
At this point I was begining to get mad. I dont need some rude lady talking to me like I am a DOG. I remained calm. I asked "Well, what do they normally do in situations such as this?"
She says." thats what Im telling you, I cant do anything until they get back.'
I respond "So you dont know what the company you work for does in cases like this." Again she says "You will have to wait until Friday."
I say "THANK YOU" in a way that totally shows how pised off I am, and hang up.

I want them to call the ******* onwers on their cruise ship, and get me some ******* information. My familly owns a business, I am no fool. You take care of customers, NO MATTER WHAT. The owners will hear about every phone call I have had with their business. Even when I ordered my tank the lady was a A**. But I just figured she was having a bad day. But noooooo I think she is in a perpetual BAD DAY.
All I know is that THEY WILL TAKE CARE OF ME OR ELSE.
I am a very nice person, but dont cross me. Also it takes alot to piss me off, but I can say that GLASSCAGES.COM has royally PISSED ME OFF.

Easy there buddy. If the owner is really on vacation then it's understandable that there may be some type of delay. Wait and see what Tom offers then you can decide or whether or not it's just. Hang in there... it's all good...

Im not sure why you loaded it onto your truck & into your house if you wanted it fixed & didnt the driver tell you they were gone & wouldnt have a solution till Friday? Hopefully the fact you pointed out a defect before accepting will help your cause. Glasscages treats EVERYONE like crap before, during & after the sale...I dont think they care what you or the members of this site think. This has happened on RC & trying to rundown their bussiness on a forum does no good. Fact is they sell custom tanks cheaper than anyone else. If they were not cheap & had cheap shipping I without a doubt would have went elsewhere. Im sure I will next time reguardless. Wish you luck.

I am well know for voting with my wallet. Bad customer service you don't get my business. It will be some time before I need a new tank but I will keep this in mind.
Not sure if it is the pic or not but it looks like it is right at the seam. That would make me far less likely to accept it and take a discount. Anytime you mess with a seam like that there is the potential for disaster.
Let us know how it goes. The stand and canopy look really nice.
Hmm Where is glasscages.com located? You could just show up with the tank and tell them what they can do with it. Meanwhile I would wait till the owners get back and see what they will do. If they don't make it right, immediately inform the credit card company and start the chargeback process. If they don't have your signature on a charge slip or the cvv number they will hav a hard time disputing it. Plus they get charged a processing fee for every dispute whether they win or lose.
