Anyway, we did the right thing by rippping it out and drilling it.

| Harlequin Tuskfish | Re: Labor of Love. I hope. OK, Scott, off my lazy astrea again . Spar Varnish done (ok, a little sloppy on the back; smack me). PVC Framed in and ready for the purple stuff. Two 1.5" drains...will this be too noisy? Tomorrow night I can get the PVC glued. Friday night I can get the back and the live rock support frame spray painted. ![]() Threaded connections and unions everywhere. If I have to take this thing apart again I want to be able to put it back together in pit crew time. ![]() ![]() The pump I am using is an OR6500 around 1650 GPH. The output is 1 inch PVC, which I am splitting to two .75" on the top. I am still worried about current. I am still thinking about putting another pump in the tank and blasting some current through the PVC rock frame. ![]() The sump is too tall for the cabinet. I'll live with it for a while because I want the refugium volume. I know I'll get frustrated with this in time. I have to drill the skimmer cup for a drain mod. With any luck, I'll get this pig wet this weekend. ![]()

Basement? That's my living room. Seriously, all construction is happening in the basement of my apartment (I have the basement and the first floor of a house). I wanted the living space liveable during construction. I will move it up this weekend. However I did hang the light a few weeks ago (got the ceiling hanging kit to suspend the lights above the tank). I actually like leaving the moonlights on at night. Sand and fresh bulbs are awaiting the tank. John.

| Harlequin Tuskfish | Re: Labor of Love. I hope. Thanks Scott, Brooks and Paul. I am going to be the poster child for procrastination, but I will get there eventually. Paul, when I get this puppy gurgling I'll email you to stop by for a beer. There is a guy I know who is selling a brood of onyx perculas, nice coloring. I have asked him to hold on to a pair of them for me. They'll be the first residents.

(I like that DAS tank trimmed in wood) I took the path less traveled by. What fish-safe stripper should I buy? I'll need some rock from far Fi-jye Euro? ASM G2? Christ, what kind of mods to do. I think I'll need a clean up crew. Large Polyp Stony? Live Pet Store? I don't know what LP stands for. (Skimmer, refugium and sump. Where'm I gonna fit the pump?) aqua-foster-depot-store I don't know what I'm paying for Sasquatch told me to buy four. RO/DI water tastes like it already had some spawn in it.... I wonder if that check valve fit? Inimicus didactylus? Scorpaena brasiliensis? Taenianotus triacanthus! (Will that go with rhinecanthus?) OneinchballvalvePVC pH or alkalinity? (The maximum salinity must be entered in ppt, this field will NOT accept SG) should I buy an A.C.3? Today my clown fish looked at me. and that has made all the difference.

| Angel Girl's Daddy ![]() | Re: Labor of Love. I hope. Looking good. There is a problem with your overflows though. You need to figure a way for air to get into the down pipe or it will cause the display water level to rise and fall, burp and gurgle. You could try a length of air line shoved down into it. or on the outside 90's (where the water will come out and go down) drill a hole into the top and thread a 1/4" ball valve into it.
