| Majano Slayer | Re: Octoman's 55 gallons of euphoria The phosguard seems to be doing the trick. My hair algae is starting to die back a bit and the corals are all looking a little better today. I have my fuge lit and I'll have some chaeto soon.

| Majano Slayer | Re: Octoman's 55 gallons of euphoria Parasitic conch? I picked up this sarcophyton a couple weeks ago and discovered this little monster this morning. I saw it on the rock at the base of the toadstool when I brought it home, but I never saw it move and thought it was just an empty shell that the toadstool was growing over. It has now been removed... ![]() ![]()

Suggestions on integrating the third light into the cycle? I was thinking about starting with one hour in the middle of the cycle and adding an hour every 3-4 days. (pics of the tank with the new light coming soon, almost lights out time tonight...) ![]()

| Majano Slayer | Re: Octoman's 55 gallons of euphoria The colors look much better with the new light on and everyone seems to be enjoying it so far. I tried to get a before and after, but the pictures don't really give the full effect. Before... ![]() After... ![]()

| Majano Slayer | Re: Octoman's 55 gallons of euphoria The xenia is still coming around a little bit at a time, now it has three good sized polyps pulsing away. There were four, but one got decapitated by something, but it's growing a new head already... ![]()

| Majano Slayer | Re: Octoman's 55 gallons of euphoria I've got Phosban and Hydrocarbon running semi-passively in the sump. They're both stuck in between dividers in the bubble trap. Seems to be keeping the phosphates down, but the hair algae is still growing a bit (much less than before). The chaeto in the fuge seems to be growing well, so I'm hopeful the hair algae will be snuffed out soon.
