Re: Surfzone's 120 Cube

Looks like you are off to a nice re-start. Sorry about your temp troubles. I agree that 80-83 is fine for most of our reef inhabitants. Try adding some fans blowing across the water. Particularly between the lights and the water. It helps a lot.

Re: Surfzone's 120 Cube

Thanks Frankie, if he hold to term you are more than welcome to a few of young ones. I was able to get a pic of my angel, and new Chocolate Tang. Both of them are wicked fast and camera shy.

Re: Surfzone's 120 Cube

Sweet. I wonder why they call it a chocolate tang when the other name for Acanthurus pyroferus is more appropriate, Lemon peel.

Re: Surfzone's 120 Cube

Excellent video!!! It also shows how your fish use the caves in the structure. Towards the end the tang disappeared into the structure then reappeared out of a cave at the very bottom, towards the left. Love to watch the fish enjoying their environment.

Fantastic job!!!

Re: Surfzone's 120 Cube

Thanks for all the comments and support. I tried to make the inside of the rock cathedral like in that the bottom is open just so that if there is a dead fish in there i can see it, and gravel vac it the upper layer is similar to that too. Frankie that sun coral of yours is opening up really nice now and i'm hand feeding him. i think that all it really wanted was some special attention. That Acro frag is doing very well too. it polyps out and the green is really dark almost like a dark hunter green.
