| Angel Girl's Daddy ![]() | Good news! We went to see buiscuit thi morning and he's recovering. The doctor did the procedure and he's breathing much easyer now She's gone above and beyond on this one,(im sure its not new for her ) and saved my dog.her tec stayed late last night and kept the oxygen on him. Christen will be well rewarded for that. Bless them all down there at Mid Island animal hospital for all they have done for Buscuit and my family. They are all hero's. He's not out of the woods yet but they walked him out to us and he knew us and responded with joy. He went straight to Lee. She even got him to eat and he drank about a 1/2 gal. of water. Dr. Zeifman said that if he continues to improve that he might be able to come home tomorrow night. I will let you all know as time go's on. thanks for all your kind words and prayers. Frank |

| Angel Girl's Daddy ![]() | Yeah Sarah I'll be sure to do that for you . Im still amazed at how tough this dog is. I'm getting a new hat today to break in so he has his favorite chew toy when he's better.lol. Dont know how he dose it but i've gone through a lot of hats since i've had this dog. last night i was eating somthing and a piece of food fell on the floor. It was strange when Buiscuit didnt come to clean up for me. And its also wierd to come home to no barking and this big grey goast of a dog jumping on me. Funny how the little things we all get upet about, then miss them when there not there anymore affect us. This experience has truly changed my whole familys lives. Shame it took this to wake us up. |

| Angel Girl's Daddy ![]() | Update. My dog is doing well. I brought him home and am taking care of him now. He's on a ton of med's and a nebulizer. He's not who he was but that is to be expected. he remembers all his old things he did like going to the one window when someone leaves so he can watch. He knew where his food dish was when we got him home and stuff like that. He's eating and drinking excelent and go's to the bathroom good. Thank you all for your support with this. It made dealing with it much easier for me. He's not out of the woods yet but is getting closer everyday. Tomorrow will be one week after he got hit. His lung troubles are getting better but his breathing is still on the shallow side. Oh, and he hasn't barked since it happened. That worries me some cause he was a barker before. I'm asuming it's because of the lung troubles. Time will heal him. The tank is doing well and i plan on getting back to that soon. The fish have ich from all the stress of moving them and i have them on med's to. lol. never ends dose it? The leak is fixed and the closed loop is working great! the overflows are too. Best experiment ive done yet! Next I'll e going to Brians (PSU4ME) for the caps he held for me during all this mess. Thanks Brian! After that I'll start the entertainment center for the tank and t.v. and such. Along with a canopy I promised a friend a while back. Well, I'll keep you all updated. Thank you for your prayers again. Went a long way for a guy who loves his dog. |

| Torch coral | ... wow.... I just caught up on this thread (read it from day one) tonight, and I cant beleive it. I really hope everything goes well, as it will. If you are like I am (as I am sure you are) you love animals, and dogs are definitely mans best friends for a reason. I cant see animals in pain, and I have to tell you- you have been extremely strong-willed for whats happened so far. I mean, I rarely cry and I am choked up right now. I wish you the best of luck and I will be hoping the best for you and biscuit. you and he are in our hearts, and dont forget everyone at RS is here for you as will I. Will

| Moderator ![]() | Very happy to hear that everything is going well at this point. It will take time for him to heal and I'm sure he is still bruised inside so, soreness is to be expected. You are very lucky that there was not a different outcome. Good luck treating the Ich! Don't forget to post the pics of your new caps when you get the chance. How's about a pic of Biscuit? |
