im setting it up this week with ro water and getting Sera salt by friday. The rocks bought and paid for but im waiting for the tank to be filled with water before i take it home. I must say thanks to my lfs for giving me a great deal on the rock. www.aquaticimportsintl.com. Brian the owner and the workers there have been awesome in helping me with info and welcoming me to the area. I'll upload more pictures as i go! Oh! ans heres the local reef club. im going to check it out tonight. www.charlestonreefers.org

Yesterday i got all the water and set the tank up. I can't get sera salt here so i went with Kent. The water missions donated the ro/di water to fill my tank and im very greatful to them for all there help. Today i get the rock so im close to getting it done.

I got all the LR now and its in the tank. I havent had the time to aquascape yet but heres some pic's of it. The red container is a hypo solution i made up to drive out any unwanted critters like crabs. It worked well.
Heres the water test results after 2 hours with the rock in the tank:
6/2/06
salinity- 1.024
ph - 8.15
kh - 10
ammonia - 1.5
nitrites - 0.3
calcium 610

How many lbs. of LR is it ? Also your calcium is very high, what tests and salt mix are you using ?
