Re: Frankie's 120gal. glass experiment

We should try to setup a keys trip that all the RS members could get to. That would be fun!

Thanks Allen, I saved some ducks too by using that 75 i was going to toss in the garbage. Like how i made the back blue and the coast to coast blue to match?

If you'll come up I'll build it around YOUR schedule for sure!

I was wondering just HOW hot it was down there. It's been HOT here but not like there.. we cool off very nicely at night.

Are you going to start setting up "Behind the Scenes" Tank tours so people can see how it's SUPPOSED to be done?

Group Trip to the keys? Julie and I are IN!!!!

Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...(-NO3=WC%)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!

Dang Frankie...that's some serious OCD you've got going on with that sump area! Simply amazing...I can't do it. I WANT to, it just never happens like that. Super well done!

Re: Frankie's 120gal. glass experiment

I have been wanting to try something new like zeovite but the cost and work involved held me back.
After reading and seeing Snappy's tank and info i decided to try his method. That tank is truly amazing and the products he uses are affordable and not as much work as zeovite. Polyp Lab
Wish me luck!

Re: Frankie's 120gal. glass experiment

Hello Cat! Good to see you Your clam is doing well btw.
I guess i will update now about the Reef-resh. I did a lot of research last night and this morning on it. Not good. Snappy is one of the chosen to be successful with that product and i am just not willing to take a risk with the side effects that can happen from using it. I think the final stamp on it for me was a reply in another forum about how little support i will be able to get from others using this stuff. I would be better off going with ZEOvit. There is a whole site full of people willing to guide someone in the beginning and when in trouble. So that is what i am going to do. I'll keep you all posted of course on my progress.

They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Re: Frankie's 120gal. glass experiment

Awesome job on sump and fuge but of course I expected nothing less.
The mangroves are obviously very happy. How do you keep it so clean? My husband would be thrilled if ours was that clean and neat.

No kidding...do tell! I know Frankie wouldn't want me to say this, but I look at my stuff, then I think of his, and I almost get discouraged. It has to be...Gremlins.. no wait...Elves, you've got Elves to help you out! That's what I want! Like those maids that clean the showers in the TV commercials, then you pull the curtain back and there's noone there. Yeah, that's the ticket!

You actually inspire me to do better Frankie...thanks!

Re: Frankie's 120gal. glass experiment

LOL! I call it keeping the wife happy. I am not the neatest guy in the world but i found over the years that aquariums tend to work better in a clean environment. Being a hard wood flooring installer and especially sander i came to fine a clean work site produces better results.

Victor, there is just no network out there! Very sad. I was so willing to try it also. I just posted all my info on About my system - zeovit.com
Go check it out. I am hoping they can help me get started. Once i get to know the system i will start a thread here on it. then i can convert all of you to my wacky world

Re: Frankie's 120gal. glass experiment

I get the impression that the zeovit system only works great for an SPS only tank.
