i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~

thanks josh me too! im moving it to the new house this coming week so i'll have tons of pic's to show as i set it up. I ordered the rock today and will be getting it in two weeks after i leak test it and add salt.

FFrankie what are the dimensins of the overflow? Your using 2" drains? That should handle a LOT of flow!

yeah it can handle a lot but i run it to a refugium so i dont want a lot. I mad the coast to coast for surfice skimming. I love the way it pulls the whole surfice off with no dead spots. I get all my flow in the tank from the closed loop.
No Doni im just moving to a better area. This house is nice but on a busy road and not much fun for my kiddo. The new house has a huge yard and garage for me to diy stuff. and the school is very good too in that area.

I moved the tank to the new house on Sunday. All went well. I have it on the back porch. Filled it last night to leak test it and all looks great! I'm going over there now so i'll get some pictures of the leak test. I hooked up the CL so I could fill it and it still amases me how quiet the ampmaster 3000 is

265 Gallon Reef built into basement wall. Lighting = 6x250 watts MH, 2x96 watt PC ,and 2x140 watt VHO for a total watt of 1,972 watts . New addition on 4-14-07 of 100 gallon sump and 100 gallon refugium. I think I have lost my mind. Gotta love this hobby Vicki
