I'm really curious why you got rid of a gate valve and replaced it with a ball valve. I just put a bunch of gate valves on all the plumbing for the 450.

The effluent kept clogging up the valve and it was a pain in the butt to open up all the way and tweak back down once a week. Now if it happens i can make just one single twist of the valve.
Gates are perfect for CL, returns and what not Terry.

No worries Terry. Thats what makes this hobby so much fun. Every tank is different.
I have a small leak in the up flow from the pump. It's the john guess fitting i used as a bulk head. I think the tube is just not fitted in properly because the other one is fine.
NBD, I took it off the tank and have it back in the shop. I hope to get to it tomorrow. The tank has been without a reactor for a few days now.
Did i mention the skimmer pump arrives Monday? I am excited to hook this puppy up on the tank and see it working finally. I might change my feeding schedules if all go's well and get onto a once a day feeding. Right now i feed the tank every other day. Nori alternate days.

It's almost Monday! My pump arrives and i will be able to test out my skimmer.
My next project is a new sump. it will be huge and able to handle a 300 gallon. I will pick up the acrylic for it this coming week. I think i am going to turn the 75 refugium into a breeder for the clowns. a little hacking and plumbing should make it a nice tank on the same system as the 120.
The reactor had a few leaks and i am working on that today. I need to make new tops, (the 1/4" acrylic ones are not strong enough) and hard plumb the pump instead of useing the hose clamps. Thats it for updates today. I'll post pictures tomorrow after the skimmer is hooked up.

Ask and you shale receive. I needed to get some pictures up before changing the lights out anyhow. I have 12.5k megachrome on the way. The colors started to shift on the reeflux bulbs. got 8 months out of them. Not bad. Now i will try the Geismann's. You can see the right side is turning yellow.

What now? Save, save, save for a bigger tank. I am still undecided on the size/dimensions. I was going to buy an Envision tank but have been thinking of building my own again. Large, braceless open look with low profile for top viewing. still like the 300+ on water volume though...
For now just enjoy watching the corals grow
