Oops, I am fixing it now. Jack said there was some audio fading so I beefed that up as well. Ok, thats it now.

I'm sorry. I formated it in Windows Media 9. I can do it in Quicktime (the mac media player), or better still, do you have Real Player? I am a die hard PC person. Even at work, I am the only one who they allowed to have 2 operating systems and 2 IP addresses on my mac: PC & Mac. I usually work in PC, but sometimes I am forced to work with the mac. I am getting a little better on it.

Hey Vicki, play a little more on the mac, get comfortable, and let us know which one you like better. I've used mostly macs for publishing, it was the better one to use for a long time but PCs have caught up pretty much. Downside is alot of the printers I knew of only had the equipment to print from teh mac software.

I have been trying to work with Mac's for 4 years. I find them very narrow in terms of doing what I need. With a PC, there are multiple ways of doing anything, and if I don't know how to do it, I can find a way to do it because it is designed intuitively. I find with Mac, it is one way or the highway (sorry mac users - nothing personal). I can function on them now just because I have had to. My district is strictly Mac, except the business office and 1/2 of the high school. Thay gave me this one because I set up a PC lab in my old classroom and used only my PC's instead of the districts machines. We have a nice compromise. But, I still have my own PC in my office as my desktop. The value in the Mac for the district is mainly in the security factor; because Mac's are a significantly smaller component of the market, they are less likely to be targeted with ongoing viruses. They are easier to lock out students from hacking (at least that is their take on it, but I am not sure), and they have been tanks. In otherwords, they were hard to crash, but you really couldn't upgrade them either, not like a PC. I have been doing video for about 9 years, and have built and upgraded from scratch for many years. Macs just weren't built to do the same kind of extensive upgrading.

I am sure I am starting something here with Mac supporters. That's ok. Everyone to their own. Most of the tech guys in the district swear by them. What ever works for you is what is important. I just struggle with them, and probably always will.

Well I am hoping with this weeks water change the MAg levels are where they are supposed to be. Everything seems to be thriving. I also need to change the RO/DI Filters & Media today. As well as Filter pads. I will keep you posted Vicki will check the levels tomorrow after the fresh salt water has had a chance to mix thoughly with the old to allow for a more accurate reading.
