So I was a bit antsy to get started. So I escavated it & what should I find possible end before the beginning. So I have to talk with Vicki's Dad to see what it is, can it be re-routed somewhere else, or do I have to move the planned room. I guess, I should see if there might be any other possible snags before the drilling begins.

It looks like simple PVC which could be nothing or could be underground irrigation, dog fence conduit, or any number of things. Hopefully her father will have some insight. Worst case is IF it's something that will delay the project beyond this weekend I'll buy the BEER if you come over THIS way

Hopefully it's something "Known" and un-used that doesn't need to be re-routed.

OK update time I spoke with Vicki's Dad (Chuck) He figured out it was a drain line so it can be moved. #! Problem Solved. #2 Problem Chuck told me there is a propane line that runs somewhere in the area. Had to call the propane company to have them come out & survey their line. Really would hate to drill through that. So I may be delayed longer than I want. I will get the building materials no Later than Sunday.

Hi Jack, Vicki ...

If I that understand correctly become that a Sump for “Vicki's” new tank? How do you make with the temperature equalizing between tank and Sump? I know comparable tanks in Gran Canaria and Teneriffa here in Europe. Those must use in the winter heaters around the water temperature to adapt. How do you solve this problem?

The excavation is actually for the sump room it will house everything for the tank except the tank itself. The room will be completely insulated against cold & vented for heat. As far as piping is concerned the exposed piping between the buildings will be insulated as well The outer shell piping anyway I plan to have most of the plumbing inside a bigger pipe if I can. I have been very successful in doing this actual temp difference is less than .5 degrees F.
All of the Ventilation because of out hot summers will be thermostatically controlled with a solar panel to run the vent fan. I don’t think I will have issues with the cold however as a precaution there will be at least 3 heaters in the sump & 2 in the overflow box itself.
