Re: BigAl's slow chronicle . . .

I got my new ASM G-2 skimmer in tonight! It's been a SUPER long day and I should have went to be but THAT'S not happening!!

Packaging was SUPERB! I pulled the skimmer out and within 5 minutes I had washed it off (never know what they used in the manufacturing plant) and had it running IN the sump. It couldn't be ANY easier! Noel this thing ROCKS!!

Here it is after about 20 minutes of running

Here is a pic of the newly delivered Chaeto in the Fuge (yes the glass isn't clean.. I just spilled water on it)

And a couple of FTS's

Thanks for reading Me

Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...(-NO3=WC%)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!

Looks like a 5 million B.C. early town. Who's gonna live in igloos?
I like the towers of rocks.

They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Re: BigAl's slow chronicle . . .

I remember seeing them before, just not in a tank.
When they get encrusted with something they are going to be stellar.

The coral beauty must be planning on some kind of flip this reef.
Move in, wait for encrusting then resell for twice the $.

Looks good Al! I am glad you worked out the skimmer problem. Looks like a good fit.
Is it the picture or is the tank cloudy? You might want to run some carbon to clear that up.

Yeah it was cloudy because I have been moving some stuff around and had been messing with the tank and just scraped the left side of algae. Honestly I may be kidding myself but once the tank settled down last night I THINK the water was the CLEAREST it's been yet. I know in all actuality the skimmer wouldn't make THAT big of a difference in an hour but it did look CLEAN and CLEAR when I went to bed.

Thanks Frank!!!

I do. 24/7. It has a lot to do with the clarity in my aquarium.

Re: BigAl's slow chronicle . . .

*Makes Note*

UV unit NEEDED

Like I say, I've never ran one but then again this is exponentially larger than any tank I've owned thus far (Yet).

Jack, I thought you were hardwired into Al's bank account by now, just take the money and send him random things he needs, it will be like Christmas all the time for him.
