| The Wand Geek was here. ;) ![]() | Re: BigAl's slow chronicle . . . I don't know if those two pieces fit but they should. I think you're probably just being too gentle. They make a tool to snap the locline in place. I could NEVER do it by hand (I tried and tried). I am trying to imagine everything you're working on but pics sure would be nice ![]()

I just knew if I kept pushing it was a matter of time before Snap and then Allen goes ballistic! thanks Drew. It's going at a fairly good pace right now but that's because I am purchasing the inexpensive stuff first. Next comes the slow=expensive items. It will come to a screeching halt shortly ![]() Allen

| Do I look as lost as I am ![]() | Re: BigAl's slow chronicle . . . Wel they aren't hinged but they are removable. The reason for this is because when I build our new home this will go into our bedroom and we may want the cabinet on the other side so the whole unit is somewhat modular. I can move the cabinet to either end or do away with it all together. He designed/built it like that for future compatibility. How cool is that?

| Do I look as lost as I am ![]() | Re: BigAl's slow chronicle . . . Well I spent a good portion of tonight "man-handling" these small plastic parts trying to make them fit. I have a back ground in material shrinking/expanding to make parts "fit" together. So I started a few hours ago by heating one part while keeping the other IN the freezer. I have literally bruised and bangs both of my hands up beyond belief and even have a significant cut to show for it. I finally gave in and was looking online for the pair of pliers to do the job. While researching I found a catalog of these parts and all of a sudden I realized what's wrong... The Nozzle is supposed to slide OVER the last piece of tubing. I looked at what I had and it's a 1/2" nozzle that will "almost" fit inside the last piece. I accidentally got 1/2" nozzles for 3/4" tubing. No wonder it wouldn't fit. I'll try to come up with these parts locally and if not I'm off to Ebay. Allen ![]()

| Do I look as lost as I am ![]() | Re: BigAl's slow chronicle . . . Sas are you trying to guess the answer? Try this link buddy... What are they? Blue Polyps The final stain color is a MinWax jocabean with a hint of mahogany mixed to match our bedroom suite. This tank & stand will be going into our master bedroom when we build our new house and we'll be doing a Monster Tank in the main living area. So it's got to match our bedroom furniture. Should be interesting to see it completed. We special ordered all the outer wood components out of cabinet grade Poplar wood. I've never had anything in this species but from the test samples it's very clean and smooth to work with. Time will tell. I would type more but my hands are so SORE from trying to get a 1/2" flare to slide OVER a 3/4" tube. Allen
