When I go to assemble a "stand-pipe_ do I need to worry about noise? I've read articles about people talking about how horribly loud their stand-pipe is and horror stories about this and that. What's the best idea you people are using? Jack I'm hoping you can get those pics/charts out for me so I know what to get when I make a plumbing run. Allen ![]()

| Tiger Shark | Re: BigAl's slow chronicle . . . Al this is a simple & effective design pipe size relates to hte size of you bulk head in your case 1 1/2" & 1" Part Needed: Pipe T 90 & Cap No glue is needed Drill a hole twards the bottom of the T as I did & also drill a hole in the top of the cap. Very quiet simple deson works great

| Tiger Shark | Re: BigAl's slow chronicle . . . I have never had the issue of overheating. I can see where it would be an issue if you flow to the pump was restricted. Meaning if you pump is 1800GPH & you flow to the pump is 1200GPH then possbly

I have all the parts in hand (it's nice to work in a building supply company) for the (1 1/2") stand-pipe assembly except I'll need to go out to the yard and get a short piece of 1 1/2" pipe for connections etc. Do I make a similar design for the output? Do I simply want this water to shoot back into the tank over the top of the overflow box or do I need to try to come up with a system to "Distribute" the water out from the over flow area? Allen
