Diner was great. We got a big group of friends together and all went out to eat. Was a very nice evening where we all ended up back at the house playing Dance Dance Revolution on the PS2.

Al, I hope I am not too late. I have a 1" bulkhead on my gravityfed fuge and wish it was bigger. I have a 3/4" inlet and thought that the 1" would be large enough to handle anything that was pumped in to it, but I have to watch the adjustable pump flow very closely or it will flood. An alternate solution would be a second bulkhead placed just slightly higher than the first one.

Looks like you have a fun project and have made some great progress!

Well thank you Lorraine. No your not too late at all. I spoke with the glass company owner and he said they wont get to my Fuge until later this week or early next week so I can make changes most all of this week. I may call him and ask him to make an additional hole just in case.

thats a good idea, its always best to go up a couple notches with whatever. its always easier to reduce things than increase them.

Looks like you have a fun project and have made some great progress!

I called him just now and he's going to make TWO holes in it just for the "heck" of it. It will be later this week before they get to it but since I am not anywhere NEAR ready for it there's no hurry. Also they don't have a 1 3/4" drill bit but the bulkhead will cover up to a 2 1/2" hole so he's going to have them drilled to 2".

Glad to have saved you the trouble I have had with mine! Are you going to have the two holes at different elevations (one regular flow, the other overflow) or at the same level (both regular flow)?

Both regular flow but I'm going to have one stopped off until I can test things. I can always open it up if needed but at least initially I need to cut down on as many variables as I can. Thanks a TON for the advice.

BigAl, Did anyone mention that the stand & tank looks really nice?

I like the idea of two drains for the ref instead of one bigger drain. Leaves you with more options. I respect all the wrk & careful planning You have put into this.

Thanks Cracker. That means a lot coming from you. I'm a little nervous about ALL the plumbing involved. I was just over at your chronicle and see ALL the plumbing you've done. I just hate to have it up and running and need to re-do plumbing etc. This is why I am taking it slow (in addition to saving the money to pay CASH $$ as I go).

Again thank you so much for your kind words!! I'm watching your chronicle for ideas and suggestions (ex Mangroves?)

Al , You should see the pvc boneyard I have outback! I have a couple of laundy baskets full of fittings as well!

Speaking of chronicles, how do You plan to setup the refugium? Got any insight on if the pods like rubble or somesort of sb? I'm interested in what advice You get on this. I want to promote the little buggers in my ref as well.
