Re: Akwar'eum

Thanks bug guy. The only one I doctored (no pun intended) was the coraline algae shot, I saturated it a little more is all.

Re: Akwar'eum

The camera is a Nikon D70, the lense is a borrowed 60mm 1:2.8 D Nikkor Micro AF. Fstop was set at 9.5 usually and I would bracket exposures at 0,+1, and +2, then choose the best exposure. I used manual focus and a Manfrotto Pro tripod. My 'regular" lense is a Sigma 28-105mm D Aspherical.

Re: Akwar'eum

Ty for the info, just what i needed. Am looking at getting the D80 now that i'm finished spending on the reef (lol yea right) love the look of that macro. Currently have the manfrotto pro and that and velvia produce some wonderful slides Using and old FG atm with a 50mm flipped around for my macro's. Awesome for bug and plant macros but useless for tank macros. Guess its time to spend money on that hobby.
Again thanks for the info and sorry for the ramble.

You will really like the D80. The friend I borrowed the lense from has it and it totally rocks!! Way more pixals than mine. I've even heard of a camera with 1400 pixals, thats outragious, Mine has 600.
