Actually, the lack of it did. Without waterflow there's no oxygen soooo...RIP.

Re: Akwar'eum

You have a few beautiful pieces in your tank Greg. Some of it I would "kidnap” gladly.

Re: Akwar'eum

Thanks everybody!!
Heinz, if anyone knows what a beautiful coral looks like, you do. My goodness your tank is gorgeous!!!!!!!!!
Declauderdale, the elegance seems to be very happy where he is now. I've tried several places in the tank, and he didn't seem thrilled with them til now. He's really becoming plump and colorful. He's in a low flow, indirect light area. I'll keep ya posted.
Robert, the Dendro does seem to be happy as well. It may or may not be because of the DT's I started using (I think it is) but he's really perked up and even sprouted two offshoots.

Re: Akwar'eum

Last night I noticed this guy "trolling" in my aquarium. I don't know what it is, it seems to be some kind of worm. It sends out what looks like a spider web about 6-8", spread out in about a 2" fan shape and catches stuff floating in the water. Then it "reels" it in and eats it, then sends it back out again. It's pretty darn cool!!

He sticks up like a periscope behind the leather so I thought the leather was sluffing slimey stuff, then I noticed this worm thingy pulling it back in. I watched for an hour...it was very entertaining!

Re: Akwar'eum

Thanks Scott! I've only had the elegance since May 2nd, so nearly 6 months now. And Shrek (pink spot, the name fits somehow) is my favorite fish. he is chock full o'personallity. thanks for the recommendation on the rabbitfish, I won out on that big time (you said he would take care of the grape caulerpa outbreak)! Haven't named him yet, I thought about "Scotty the scribblefish' but didn't know how you'd feel about it. Thanks again big guy!

Re: Akwar'eum

Well, I have to give back the macro lense I borrowed tomorrow so I thought I'd use it one last time. Hope you enjoy the shots...
I didn't downsize them, if they're to big for your monitor (like they are mine) hold the control button and scroll the mouse wheel back to shrink it.

Well, that's it, you'll have to settle for the regula lense for a while...
thanks for looking!
