Oh the joys of home owership! Great attitude, lots of time, and deep pockets are standard operating equipment, eh Greg? Thanks for the report and glad everyone is well!

Re: Akwar'eum

I thought I would check in and give an update. The move is going great. I have been spending every waking moment trying to accomplish in a week what it took twenty years to do at the other house. I have our bedroom, the master bath, and the massage therapy room painted. I have lighting in the basement shop and electricity run to all the tools so I can start building my skimmer. Tonights project is to paint the wall behind the TV so we can at least move the TV where it will parmanently live. I put the new stove in and wired and gassed it. I installed a vent fan and light in the master bath. We ordered material to build an out building to house the lawnmower and outdoor tools, it will be here Thursday. Also in the delivery will be insulation for the floor, for some reason they didn't insulate them. The walls and ceiling are insulated though...? weird! We absolutely love this house! It is perfect for Gail and me, and is getting perfect-er everyday! I have misplaced the camera card somewhere in the moving process so I can't take pics...sorry. I still don't have the fish here so Chris is feeding them at least. I did buy four Brute trash cans and they are at the old house waiting to be filled with fish and stuff. Then they will become a cycling system for LR. Lumber to build the tank stand will be here thursday also. Stuff is happening all over the place. I got to watch my Braves last night in High Def while I was wiring the shop, that was totally cool, especially since they won! I hope to be able to get back on here more often soon, I hope everything is going swimmingly in my absence! Ya'll have a great day!!!

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Re: Akwar'eum

OMG Greg, the place is falling apart without you!

Glad to hear that things are going well and that you love your house so much. I know how that feels. When Ghia and I moved into our house we were head over heels in love with it and after 10 year, we love it as much as the day we moved-in. I'm so very happy for you and Gail and Chris and Scotty the Scribble fish too!

So good to hear from you, Greg... I've been thinking about you a lot! I can sure sense your busy-ness in your post!

Also, your loce for your new place! Hope you find that camera card soon, because, well... you know the drill.

Now I'm going to say something selfish! I can't wait for you to have a minute to see MY FREAKIN' TANK DOOD! It's AWESOME!

Re: Akwar'eum

yeah, JoJo, my back is KILLING ME TODAY! I've got the TENS machine working on it right now. I painted the living room and got the out building studded out today but it started raining so I had to stop. I watched my Braves again, they've won 6 in a row...woohoo! I felt like I didn't get much accomplished but when I type it out it sounds good. I found my camera card so I should be able to take pics of the work I've been doing. It won't be tank stuff since I don't have one yet though, I'll take pics of the boxed equipment though. ;^)

Re: Akwar'eum

Greg,
Definitely make sure to make the to do list.
Crossing things off the list can make a big difference in your motivation down the road. Like you said, sometimes we judge ourselves to harshly on visible results only.

Fight the good fight!

Re: Akwar'eum

Todays to do list includes going to Chris' and tearing down the refugium and getting it to the house and set up again for the critters to be transferred.
