When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on. |

| Manta Ray | Re: Akwar'eum Well, we found another house we really like yesterday. My mother is a realestate agent so she took us around to look at places but she wants our friend Danny to be the "agent in charge" as it were because she feels he has a better eye for a bargain home (and she's right). He looked at it with us today, and thinks it's a solid house with no obvious serious issues like most of the other houses have had. He advised us on what to offer and what our top end bid should be and we are making an offer tomorrow. The owner of the home is a vendor in our antique market but we are pretending like we don't know who owns the house so if the offer insults him we can say "if we knew it was you we would have offered XXXX"...Dannys advice, who knows, they might just accept it. The tank will need to be an L shape to have anything close to what I want. The tank room will be in the basement. The property is beautiful and quite private with some serious landscape potential. I like working in the yard landscaping, although I admit since I started reefing, I haven't done much of it lately. I'm not getting overly excited like I did before just in case they can't come down to what we can afford, but the house is very close to what we had in mind to build. I keep ya posted.

| Manta Ray | Re: Akwar'eum Tank stuff: I have switched back to doing a one gallon WC per day for about a week now. I can't remember why I changed, it's really easy. After refilling my kalkwasser tower my PH has once again stablized at 8.1 at night and 8.2 during the day. I just ordered from Gary at Gettanked.com. I wish he had a credit card machine. We had to use paypal and I really don't like paypal. I ordered some Calcium Chloride for my calc supplement, some activated carbon, and some purple seaweed. He is throwing in a 25gal sample of his salt mix plus some other supplements trying to hook me. I'll see what they are and how easy they are to use. He seemed nice to talk to but as I am from the south and he is from the north our accents were getting in the way a little. All of my critters seem to be doing well. More later...

| Watch this Ma! | Re: Akwar'eum I wish you the best of luck with the house, Greg and Gail! Landscaping, eh? I used to do that when I was much younger. We had 300 acres we landscaped. Oh yeah, it was a dairy farm. ![]() I was seriously considering an "L" shaped aquarium. I love the way they look, especially with the curved front corner. But then I realized that I love both of our tanks too much to choose. So the predators get one tank, the reef another. The predators will probably hang out in the corner as close to the reef as they can get with drool hanging out the their mouths. ![]() Of course, I could always send Patti down for a weekend and you can give her a hammer and she will make room for a tank as big as you want! ![]()

| Watch this Ma! | Re: Akwar'eum aHA! So you want some exercise! Patti would fix that. I've been sore for a couple months now. Of course, my parents (who are 67) put both of us to shame. They still go out into the woods and cut their own fire wood. And whats wrong with eating, sleeping, posting on RS, work thrown in occasionally, laying on the couch watching the tank, all nice and relaxed... ![]()
