| Scopas Tang | Re: Kazzy's 46 bowfront Thanks, it does. Anyways, good news! It turns out it has been longer than I thought it was and my dad has been dosing for like 6 days. The bottle says to treat for 3 days after all visible signs of ick are gone. The freshwater dip killed almost all of the ick parasites, and I think the medication finished the ick off. So yesterday we decided to move Ponch over. After acclimating him for an hour and a half, we moved him in and we turned off all the lights except the actinics to calm him down a little. Right now he is grazing away happily. He isn't totally scared of coming out in the open, but he has been sticking to places where he can dart to safety. At least it is progress! I haven't seen him pick at any of our corals, so I hope he won't decide to do it. Oh yeah, and he hasn't shown any signs of ick since it first appeared. I think we caught it pretty early.

| Scopas Tang | Re: Kazzy's 46 bowfront Thanks, I am glad too. Anyways, I just bought, with my own money, 2 shroom frags. 1 is a white/greenish tint ricordea YUMA(only 15 bucks!!) and the other is a little normal maroon. I will get pics and post them. The yuma is real cool looking. I hope our lights don't color it up. I like the way it is. I did have to grovel to get my dad to let me buy them, but it was worth it. But then my dad went on a live rock moving spree and exposed a dead area and scared a lot of corals and scared poor nemo and scared his girlfriend Bubbles because now her nesting area is disturbed and the mandarin is stressed and Ponch is stressed and so am I! And then I started talking really REALLY fast because that's how I burn off nervous energy and somehow I started talking about nukes and sea apples and eventually my dad made me shut up and right now I am typing really fast because my dad made me shut up and so I still have lots of nervous energy so yeah. Sorry still REALLY hyper plus the mountain dew livewire probably didn't help much it had A LOT of caffeine!! ![]()

| Manta Ray | Re: Kazzy's 46 bowfront I just went back through your thread and want to reply to some of it. Your doing fantastic with your tank, it's amazing. My frogspawn is doing the same thing, he's extending beyond belief and growing like crazy. I think mine has something to do with the DT's I'm feeding but am not positive, anyway I think it's a good thing. Next time when you're doing freshwater dips try using some Methylene blue mixed in the water. The dose may be stronger than the bottle recommends, you want the water to be a deep royal blue. I'm glad Ponch is in the MT and I hope he's behaving himself, he's quite beautiful!! Nice work on a good cronicle

Thankfully, Ponch is still being a good boy and hasn't picked on any corals! I think I may be able to get my dad to take some pictures with his SLR and tripod so that you guys can see what my tank really looks like.

| Scopas Tang | Re: Kazzy's 46 bowfront Ooooo!! I found a crawly thing in my tank! At night, this trunk thingy comes out of my live rock and pokes around in the live rock. It is approximately 3-4 inches long when it really stretches out. Its trunk hangs out around the new shrooms, but I have not seen anything to indicate it is damaging any of my coral. I am fairly sure it is not a peanut worm. It is also a somewhat deep-water critter because it can't detect red light. When I use my red flashlight on it, I can observe it without it noticing. When I used my blue one, it shrunk up really fast. Anyone got any ideas as to what it might be? P.S. It is very well hidden. If I had not seen it at night, I would have no clue it is in there.

| Scopas Tang | Re: Kazzy's 46 bowfront Nah, it is way too long for that. Besides, it was moving around a bunch and nosing around. Oh, and my dad got stung by our leather last night and it is still ticked at us, all shrunken up.

| Scopas Tang | Re: Kazzy's 46 bowfront I've been being lazy and not updating my chronicle, so here's what happened: The new red shroom started splitting and is about half-way through and my dad and I have decided we are going to take a rock into the LFS that has some Xenia and about 5 yellow polyps for store credit. Hopefully we will get another nice coral. That reminds me, when I was at the LFS getting my mushrooms, I asked the owner if he was willing to frag a yellow Fiji leather coral, because I have wanted one for nearly 6 months now, but the whole thing was too expensive. I asked because I had heard that you could just chop a piece of the crown off and stick it to a rock without much difficulty. He said they can be difficult to frag and it can go either way. Which of these opinions is fact?
