| Scopas Tang | Re: Kazzy's 46 bowfront Well, it looks like we aren't moving the angel over tonight. We pulled out the pipe to get a better look at him, and guess what was new with him? Little white speckles on his fins and body. We pulled out the live rock, freshwater dipped him for 4 and a half minutes, and treated the tank with the formaldehyde Rid Itch stuff. The freshwater dip worked very well. I think almost all of the white things fell off. We also found some new little guys in our main tank. We have a little green nudibranch(have pictures of him that will be uploaded later), and some weird little brown polyp thingies. The polyps are hitchhikers on the clove rock. You can see them in the lower left corner of the picture of my clove polyps on page 6. They actually look pretty neat. I am hoping they are just palys because they look a lot like palys and look cool. What should I do about the nudibranch? Leave it in until I see something being eaten? I am sure it is one.

| Scopas Tang | Re: Kazzy's 46 bowfront I think the nudibranch is eating my clove polyps. He keeps going over them. I can't see any damage to them, but he is so tiny I doubt he can do much to them right now. He will get bigger though, right?

| Scopas Tang | Re: Kazzy's 46 bowfront Yeah. It's the little kind that barely has any stinging ability at all. The big clear ones are a lot stingier. I think the less excess nutrients floating around there are, the smaller the aiptasia get and stay.

the 3. pic is NOT Aiptasia .... it is a Anemonia majano, one should remove those as fast as possible from the tank.

| Scopas Tang | Re: Kazzy's 46 bowfront This is the second time this week one of my books(the second most expensive one too!) has been proven wrong in something. Guess I shouldn't use it anymore. Kind of irritating. And I'm guessing peppermints don't eat majanos, right? I can't believe I didn't realize that. I've seen a picture of a majano before, even if it was a really pretty, colorful one.

| Scopas Tang | Re: Kazzy's 46 bowfront My frogspawn has been extending more in the last couple of days. I assume this is just growth, but could there be something wrong? I know I am paranoid, but I really like it and would hate to lose it. Also, I am going to freshwater dip the angel again just in case. Last time we got 5 minutes before we chickened out and put him back in. I think when we aerated the water it helped a lot. I haven't seen any white things on him since, but you can't seem them very well until he isn't hiding or moving around a lot.

| Scopas Tang | Re: Kazzy's 46 bowfront Update on Ponch. He hasn't gotten any more little spots, and I believe my dad is still dosing the tank with medicine. Hopefully in another 3-5 days of dosing he will qualify for moving. I am anxious to get him into a tank with algae for grazing. The quarantine just hit its diatom stage. I had to clean the glass off with a scrubber. I am still worried that he will pick at our corals and have to go bye-bye. Fingers crossed he will be a good boy!

| Excellent Guesser :D | Re: Kazzy's 46 bowfront On your frospawn, I would think extending more is good. Usually when their is a problem they shrink up into nothing. Hope this helps. ![]()
