First of all, if you had read the post, you would have noticed that the sixline wrasse passed away quite a while ago. Second, I am not getting either a CBB or a bluespot at all anymore. 3rd, my mandarin has thrived for almost a year and is fat and happy, probably because of the tons of macro-algae I have in our tank as a breeding grounds for pods. I am sorry for any confusion that my chronicle caused!

EDIT: As far as heavy stocking, we have almost 4 times the amount of filtration needed for our tank, plus double skimming.

Now for what I came here to post in the first place! My dad and I bought a flame angelfish just 2 and a half hours ago. We also bought a colony of very pretty bright green clove polyps. This definitely makes up for the jawfish! The angel was in the store for just 24 hours when we bought him. He looks pretty healthy, but we are still quarantining him for 2 weeks, unless of course he looks unhealthy, in which case we'll keep him until treatment is over. I tested our quarantine tank water and we have about .25 Ammonia and 0 nitrite. I didn't test the nitrate because I know it's low and fish aren't bothered by nitrates much. I am planning on fragging the green cloves as soon as they start multiplying. I will post a picture as soon as I can of both the angel and polyps!

I just turned on the lights in the qt for the first time. He seems very calm and is quietly exploring the tank. The temp was a little low, at 76-77 so I turned up the heater a bit. Do you guys think I should lower the salinity? I did think about it earlier, but I was wondering if it would be helpful.

Grant, IMO I wouldn't lower the salinity unless there is reason to do so. If the fish starts showing sings of Ich, then you may want to initiate lowering the salinity, otherwise there is no need to do so.

My first fish was a Flame angel! They are striking and relatively hardy! Congratulations!

I have taken pictures of both the clove polyps and the flame angelfish but I have yet to upload them because my mom hasn't shown me how to do it and so she normally does it and she is making dinner. But the clove polyps kinda look like these:

Except mine are practically glowing and a much lighter green.

My dad has started worrying that the flame angelfish isn't getting enough to eat. He has picked at some algae on a little piece of live rock in there, and I am fairly sure he ate some Formula Two, but my dad is still worried. He doesn't look thin at all, but my dad wants to move him tonight. I know he could go a while longer before starving, but if you guys think he could be okay, then it would be nice to get him into a tank with algae. As far as his health/personality, he has settled in nicely. He is still pretty timid, but I am guessing he will be much more bold when he has better, more natural hiding spots. He is also probably kinda spooked from the water changes we've been doing like every other night. He has not shown any signs of illness, unless having slightly pale gills in the morning is a bad thing.
