Beautiful additons Heinz! Splendid fish and coral Simply amazing photography~
Why do they recommend the peppermint fish for a 300 liter tank if it only gets 5" long? It swims alot?

That's correct Donie-Marie, he is a very quick and persevering swimmer and needs place around other fish to be able to elude. I dont like it if one keeps quickly swimming fish in too small tank's. 300 litres are in my eyes even the lower border. In the Meerwasser-Lexikon (sea water encyclopaedia), where I am one of three administrators, I recommend 400 litre as minimum.

Great things sometimes do come in small packages. Can't wait to see the growth of that colony Heinz!

Re: HMA’s 115 gal. Reef Tank

Agreed! I love fridays even more now.

I just realized what it is about Heinz' tank that makes it so surreal.
There is nothing on the back glass. It looks like it is floating in space.

I assume the back is painted black and you scrape the corraline algae off?

Still looks awesome.

They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

That is an excellent site and is commonly used by our partner site for coral ID's !

Heinz I have a coral just like that one and I believe it's an A. tortuosa, it's my favorite Acro and yours looks spectacular !

Re: HMA’s 115 gal. Reef Tank

Thank’s all,

what I can say – „I try my best, but that’s it”! I am glad about your nice comments but I know there are much better looking aquariums to see on RS.

@vdituri

Victor exact, the background is bluish black and I scrapes the background every two weeks. Yesterday I have scraped the background again, have done afterwards the water change and then the picture. BTW the background is NOT glass, it is PVC.

OK, then betrays my photo trick. To get the background very dark, I raise the front part of the HQI light something thus the lamp little light to the back and everything at an angle forwards radiates. Very simple .....

@framerguy

Greg, yes I am a freak

@Craig Manoukian

Fingers crossed, all animals are healthy and I hope this still remains very long in such a way.

@cheeks69

Yes Robert, this kind of Acroporas are really very spectacular and to maintain them not very simply so this are preserved these colours. Acropora tricolour is not to be found so seldom in Europe, some of my friends here in Germany also maintain this coral, everything has strong divergences in the colours. BTW ... A. tortuosa is very similar, the polyps are light bluish to light purple, a wonderful coral too.
