I'm so sorry Craig but the study became not electronically published. What I can do, because I read them, is quote from it. The title is: \ " construction-morphological reconstruction of rugoser corals \ " from Michael Gudo, senckenberg research institute and physical museum / Frankfurt a. M.-Germany.

Thanks Heinz! See, there I learned something new.

Re: HMA’s 115 gal. Reef Tank

Your welcome Craig, Terry .... and thanks Lynn, I have also learnt a lot on RS.

I may not quote from the study literally, but I may interpret. Another essence was, coral growth uses independent of magnesium level, from a measurable amount from 360 and ends likewise, regardless of other processes, with approx. 450-460ppm calcium. I think this is also good to know!?

So does this change the bailing method at all?

Lynn, definitively not. However, it shows me why I at present substantially less calcium measures than NaCl free salt and magnesium. However, it has NO influence on the Balling method.

Re: HMA’s 115 gal. Reef Tank

welcome Lynn ....

BTW .... contrary. With Balling it is very easily

1 - to reach the required values

2 - and to hold constantly

Re: HMA’s 115 gal. Reef Tank

Today I have removed the last remained clone of my anemone from the 115gal and also some corals moved. It concerns merely the right side of the aquarium. During the next weeks I am looking for new SPS/LPS corals, in special to Acropora globiceps, Acropora granulosa, Acropora multiacuta, Acropora papillare and Acropora valida. I hope I find at least some of it. I think the appearance of the right side will even more often change a little, according to the needs of the new corals (current, light etc.).

Man Heinz. I wish you lived here in the USA! Then when you need to trim corals to make room for new ones, you could send them to me and I'd put them into the 450. Eventually, YOU would have TWO tanks. Your 115 and OUR 450.
