Re: HMA’s 115 gal. Reef Tank

I do not know whether this becomes very interesting to start a new Chronicle . I will break down two of my breeding tanks and use the water, sand and the live rock from it. Thereby the Cycle is extremely shortened and I am able to do the first animals already after few days in the new tank.... we will see Drew ... we will see!

Will you be purchasing new equipment (skimmer, pumps, lighting) or do you have all this already?

I have everything what I need Drew, I also have a spare device for the immediate use (Pump, Skimmer, T5, HQI, Filter) for almost all devices they are in use. An exception are UV-C and ozone generator. Most of these reserve devices I have exchanged sometime once for newer ones. However, as a reserve device they are still perfect enough.

That new wrasse is very very cool, he looks like a cross between a checker board wrasse and a Lunare wrasse...

Re: HMA’s 115 gal. Reef Tank

Heinz... have you given thought to getting a bigger tank. Say something like a 300 gal.
I would love to see what you can do with something like that

Yepp ... about that I have already thought Boze. However, unfortunately I have at the moment no place for a bigger tank. Should I build up once again a "little" bigger reef, it will have the mass - 1.50-m width, 1.00-m height and 1.00-m depth (1,500 L / 400 gal.) Or 1.50 m x 0.80 m x 1.20 m. Such a big aquarium is substantially easier to keep and to maintain than my current one.

yepp Daniel, this wrasse is sooo cool. I saw this fish first in an article of an Australian magazine and was inspired immediately. Since then I have tried to get one.
