Re: HMA’s 115 gal. Reef Tank

WC-Day .... Time for my weekly update. All animals are healthy again and this is to be seen also clear. Today I have inserted an other pump (Tunze 6055). Now the whole volume of the current has approx. 20 x of the aquarium volume (approx. 12,000 litres / h). The lighting was optimised, by a mirror Foil in the jump edge.

The current values of the 115gal tank:

Ammonia : 0
Nitrites : 0
Nitrates : 5
Phosphates : 0,01
Salinity : 1.0235
Alk : 7.9 dkH
Cal : 420 ppm
Mag : 1330 ppm
Water : RO/DI
Ph – 8.1 to 8.3
Supplements: Balling Trace Elements

... and as usual a Picture.

Beautiful, as always, Heinz! And how did I miss that goby video? I miss mine... he jumped one night. As soon as my tank is free of ick and/or brooknyella, I'm planning on getting another (or two!)

Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...(-NO3=WC%)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!

I don't think I've seen Zoas of that color before. Very pretty, Heinz!

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

...first of all.... thank you ALL....!

@Dentoid
Yep .... I like these cool intense colors ... BTW, blue and purple are my favorite colors.

@kathywithbirds
Kathy, if you are a real pair can get, do it in any case. If the two still have a Pistol shrimp they can feed, it is simply wonderful to look at them. My two can jump, but would never overcome the jump edge, it is 30cm high and has an aperture inside.

@BigAl07
Al, finally let water in your great new tank, then you make exactly such images, I am absolutely sure!

@lcstorc
Thank you Lynn ! Initially for your comment on the Zoas ... But also for your comment on my English.

I am absolutely sure my English is better than 99.9% of the German of most of my (Chronicle) readers. LoL (Exception: Kathywithbirds )

@Terri
Be sure I do Terri. But if you like to looking pictures .... on my Web site you can find hundreds and hundrets .....

... the same Zoas under blue light !

Not to mention that each of his pics is worth a million words.
2 of my kids are taking German this year. I should have them stop by and say hi so you can correct their grammar.

Why not Lynn? If your children had once a problem with a German text, send me this text by PM or eMail and I correct him fastest possible. No problem
