Thank you too Allen. I know my English is not really good, but I strive to improve it.

@ bluespotjawfish
Hello Lorraine, yes it ist the fan (Giesemann). I am very content thereby. It is very quiet, which one cannot say of all other comparable. I attached it to a temperature controlling device (UT-100). Both together make really good job.

So it turns on automatically when it senses a certain temp? How did you set that up?

Also - does yours have 5 or 3 fans?

I have 4 fans... and yes, it turns on automatically when it sense a certain temp.

This is a pic of the controll unit:

It is a digital unit and easy to set up. It switches the fans on at a temperature of 27°C and if the water reached temperature of 25°C, it switches off again. I poured the sensor in synthetic resin. Thus it is not destroyed by the seawater.

Re: HMA’s 115 gal. Reef Tank

I think I can figure out a way to hook this up to the temp control in my Reefkeeper. I just need to make sure I have enough capacity for it.

Perhaps this helps you, GHL 4 fans, That is also very good choice.

Re: HMA’s 115 gal. Reef Tank

I missed a lot while away at MACNA. That 115-FTS is one of the finest I've seen. You Europeans really know how to reef! I went to a lecture at MACNA on European Perspectives on Reef-Keeping by Ron Hessing. They have got to be some of the most beautiful tanks in the world! Thanks for sharing your secrets.
